Desert Rats thrusts players into the campaigns waged in North Africa during the Second World War. Underneath the broiling sun, and amidst the sandstorms and trackless dunes, legendary commanders like Montgomery and Rommel dueled in the maneuver warfare that often characterized this period. Battles were often brutal in the harsh environment of North Africa, a place that could kill you as surely as an 88 could. It was here that American forces received their baptism of fire, and it was here that saw the beginning of the end for the Reich. With plenty of chrome, classic turn based gameplay, an AI that would even give pause to Rommel, and an easy to use scenario editor, Desert Rats is the ultimate North African computer wargame.
