Created with System Administrators who service large groups ofworkstations in mind, Yasu (Yet Another System Utility) was made to do aspecific group of maintenance tasks quickly within a few clicks, ratherthan needing to endlessly type shell script commands in the Terminalapplication. What Yasu Does Yasu is a Cocoa application wrapper built withAppleScript Studio that allows system administrators, as well asstandard users, to conveniently run various system level Unix shellscripts in order to perform maintenance routines and clear the variouscache files used by OS X. Yasu was designed to be a simple, first lineof attack for a workstation that has started "acting up." More oftenthan not, a thorough purge of the cache files of a Mac will bring itsbehavior back into line. What Yasu Doesn't Do Yasu is not a solution for total systemmaintenance, and is not a replacement for the Unix 'cron' utility. WhileYasu works quite well on its own for certain things, it should also beused with other utilities, such as DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro, in orderto keep your system in optimal health
