This firmware update utility is for the HP LaserJet P2050 series printers only. This update is recommended for HP LaserJet P2050 series printers that have a version prior to 20111214. This utility updates the printer's firmware version to 20111214 (14th, Dec., 2012). The firmware version can be found on the Self Test/Device Configuration page. To print a configuration page please go to Reports -> Config Report on control panel. The options are "On", "Off", and "Off and Locked". The default value is "Off and Locked" and must be changed to "On" before the firmware can be updated. - Fix for media handling issues with PCL5 and non default paper types. - Fix memory allocation issue - Fixed issue with extra page printing with a Macro Overlay application.
