Issue Description: A "No compatible hardware found" error message appears when attempting to install the AMD Catalyst drivers directly from the AMD download home page for the: - AMD Radeon HD 4xxx series of AGP graphics cards - AMD Radeon HD 3xxx series of AGP graphics cards - AMD Radeon HD 2xxx series of AGP graphics cards All published AMD drivers have passed Microsoft's WHQL certification tests. A WHQL driver for the above mentioned products is not currently available. Recommendation: A hotfix has been created to help resolve the following issues: - Problems with DirectX and AMD Radeon HD 4xxx, AMD Radeon HD 3xxx or AMD Radeon HD 2xxx series of AGP graphics cards. - "No compatible hardware found" error message when installing AMD Catalyst drivers directly from the AMD download home page Note: This driver is provided “AS IS” in accordance with the End User License Agreement. For detailed instructions on how to install the latest graphics drivers, refer to: - Article GPU-33 for a Windows 7 based system - Article GPU-1 for a Windows Vista based system - Article GPU-2 for a Windows XP / Windows 2000 based system Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
