Sound Devices PIX 260i Video Recorder Firmware 1.50
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FIRMWARE (v1.50)
- PIX 260i v1.50 recorded files cannot be played back in PIX 260i v1.04 or earlier or PIX 240(i)/PIX 220(i) v3.03 or earlier. (Files recorded in earlier versions of PIX 260i and PIX 240(i) firmware can playback in PIX 260i firmware v1.50)
- The change is due to a new enhanced QuickTime structure which enables the recording of dynamic metadata (metadata that changes from frame to frame). Updating all PIX 260i's to v1.50 is highly recommended!
- PIX 240(i)/PIX 220(i) firmware supporting this new QuickTime structure will be released in the near future. Until then, PIX 260i recorded files that are intended for playback on the PIX 240(i)/PIX 220(i) should be recorded using PIX 260i v1.04 or earlier.
Changes:
- Frame synchronized transport control between multiple grouped PIX 260i's; Record, Play, Stop, Pause, Jog (frame by frame), Shuttle, FF, REW.
- Advanced Metadata Editing (Audio Mode):
- Additional Audio Screen (accessed by toggling the AUDIO button): includes metering, file name, scene/take (if File Name Format is set to include scene/take), time code, ABS time, track names, sample rate, bit depth and drive remaining time.
- New mechanism for preventing file corruption in the event of power loss during recording.
- Support for additional RS-422 commands .
- Fixed looping AV sync issues for non-native QuickTime files (Avid, FCP exported files).
- Fixed AV sync issues during Play All/Playlist/Pause playback.
- Improved AV input sync.
- Fixed issue where last recorded file wasn't shown on OSD after bootup requiring user to select it in the file list first.
- Fixed Random Timecode 1 frame offsets.
- Audio Buffering improvements particularly for ProRes 4444 recordings.
- Support for Source Identification (SID) metadata to enable large scale productions to identify source video streams. This SID metadata is transmitted in the SDI stream ancillary data space as defined in SMPTE 291M from devices such as the Alpermann+Velte Rubidium Series. The PIX 260i extracts and records this SID metadata into the QuickTime file structure so that it can be played back from the PIX 260i's SDI output. Note: This enhanced metadata support has required changes to the QuickTime structure.
- File OSD Field shows Poly vs. Mono WAV.
- Enable keyboard shortcuts for transport controls in PIXNET.
- Updated internal Dante hardware to latest firmware from Audinate.
- Fixed lockup which could occur with an intermittent Ethernet connection.
- Fixed a condition where 'No Input Signal Detected' would be displayed even though signal was present.
- Many other improvements and fixes.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest drivers, software and games.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
