Sound Devices PIX 220i and PIX 240i Video Recorder Firmware - Aurora (v3.51) provides the following new features and changes:

New:
- Added ability to enter/exit menus using a USB keyboard’s arrow keys. Right Arrow opens a menu item; Left Arrow returns to the previous menu.

Improvements:
- Increased efficiency of DNxHD Codec at lower bit rates.
- Accuracy of timecode overlay on video outputs improved.

Changes:
- Simplified the [Video] [Up Conversion] menu by removing the redundant ‘Zoom Letterbox’ setting. The ‘Zoom Wide’ setting has the same effect. 

Fixes:
- Fixed AVID AMA-linking ‘EXCEPTION: Failed to get the sample position from the AMA plugin.’ bug. This could appear towards the end of clip playback or when consolidating odd length files.
- Pillar Box and Zoom 14:9 setting names swapped so that the setting name correctly matches the selected conversion.
- Other system optimizations.


It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
