Fixes:
- The wavering that occurred when an image slide show was played back on a television has been significantly reduced.
- The background in images captured in Party/Indoor mode had a tendency to be too dark. This was due to unbalanced exposure between the subject and the background, and has been corrected by setting the flash mode for Party/Indoor mode to Slow Sync.
- When the camera was turned on just after purchase or after it hadn’t been used for some time, it took up to 10 seconds for autofocus to be enabled and the shutter to respond when the shutter-release button was pressed due to charging of the built-in flash. This delay and no indication of what was happening caused many users to believe that the camera had malfunctioned or was broken. This problem has been corrected with an additional function that causes the Flash-ready lamp to blink when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway while the flash is charging. This function only applies when the camera is turned on in Shooting mode using the power switch. This function is not enabled when the camera is turned on in Shooting mode using the playback button (playback button is pressed once for approximately 2 seconds, released and pressed again).
- Mottling which occurred in some images has been reduced with changes to filter processing.


It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
