This is initial release image for WFS709TP. It has main firmware version 2.5.5.1-15088 and embeds the Thin AP firmware image version 1.5.9
Known Issues & Work Arounds:
1. Cannot login and configure switch from Microsoft Vista IE7
Description: Login from Vista IE7 to the switch is known to have problem.
Resolution/work around: Currently the supported browser versions are IE5 and above on XP and Mozilla Firefox browsers. Please use one of that to configure the box. Please note that there is no problem with the Wireless connectivity from Vista wireless stations to the APs controlled to the Switch.
2. Table size if larger than window size under Monitoring and Report
Description: In some pages under Monitoring and Report Section, the Table width could be longer than the window width.
Resolution/work around: The page is designed to work best at resolution of 1260x1048, please use that resolution to see best result. At lower resolutions, the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom can be used to see the whole window content.
3. Cannot modify page if the authentication is configured to Registration webpage.
Description: If the authentication mechanism is selected as Registration webpage, then no additional changes can be made to the basic configuration web page. This will lead to an error due to re-registration.
Resolution/work around: The authentication mechanism can be temporarily changed to make other changes and then re-applied back. This problem will be fixed in the next release.
4. Problem logging in to the WEB UI
Description: Sometimes after typing in the user credentials, the screen flashes and comes back empty without logging in.
Resolution/work around: The switch WEB UI uses ActiveX controls. The Browsers security setting could prohibit the ActiveX Installation. Change the security settings as follows. Open Tools -> Internet Options menu in Internet Explorer Switch to Security tab Configure the following settings
* The Download signed ActiveX controls radio button is Prompt or Enable.
* The Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins radio button is Enable or Prompt.
* The Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting radio button is Enable or Prompt.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest drivers, software and games.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
