Before upgrading, write down all the configuration information you changed from the defaults. You may need to reenter them later. These typically include password, security settings and ISP configuration.
NOTE: The router will reset itself to factory defaults after upgrading to version 2.x.
Version 1.x and 2.x configurations are not compatible and cannot be used across software versions.

* Traceroute diagnostic utility will not send diagnostics packets across the VPN tunnel when the destination address is across the VPN tunnel
Solution: Use Ping to verify connectivity and use an external PC attached to the LAN side to verify the traceroute.
* Internal Capture diagnostic utility captures both encrypted and decrypted packets on WAN interface.
* FVX538 and FVS338 stop responding to SNMP at high polling frequencies
Solution: Use a larger SNMP polling interval (greater than 10 sec).
* Dialup status screen may show incorrect IP address information when the dialup status is inactive.
Solution: Disregard IP address information in the status screen when the dialup status is inactive.
* Web Management GUI screen becomes blank during image upgrade
Solution: Retry the upgrade. There are no known cases of flash corruption with this scenario.
* Spaces not allowed in user names in local User Database (for XAUTH)
Solution: Ensure that no space is used when entering usernames in the local database.
* QoS option remains editable when “block always” action is chosen
Solution: If a value is entered in this field, it will have no effect. Version 2.0 software discards the packet if it matches this rule.
* In order for load balancing to work, access to DNS is required
Solution: If testing load balancing in a lab environment, ensure that there is access to a domain name server.
* Primary WAN Link should be set to "Keep connected" in auto rollover mode
Solution: The primary WAN link must be configured to “keep connected” when using the auto rollover mode.
* Dynamic DNS is only configurable on one WAN interface
Solution: The DNS configuration information applies to the active interface. As an example, if WAN2 is configured as the active interface, the DNS configuration is applied to WAN2. If Load balancing is configured, Dynamic DNS is applied to the primary link. If Auto rollover is configured, Dynamic DNS is applied to the active interface that is forwarding the traffic.
* FQDN names in VPN policies can not use "-" (dash) as part of the name
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest drivers, software and games.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
