THD5 and THD50 Firmware update procedure:
CREATING UPDATE DISC:
Please download TH-D5-50J V135A.zip and save it on your desktop.
• Unzip both files onto your desktop:
VUP_info.cds and SPMTH_D5_FMU_MB5_1.swp
• Using your computer burning software, create a disc containing only those two files (no
folders or other files).
Please make sure that the following settings are observed for burning the disc:
Format of CD should be set at Mode 1 Disc at once.
File system - ISO
UPDATING THD5 or THD50 WITH NEW FIRMWARE:
1) Power on the unit.
2) Open the tray and insert the update disk. Press “PLAY”.
3) After the tray closes, update starts automatically. Please do not press any buttons or pull the
power cord at this time. “READING” will be displayed during update procedure and approximately
after 1 minute “COMPLETE” will indicate that update is done.
4) Disc tray will open automatically. Please remove UPDATE disc.
5) Turn off the power, unplug then reconnect the power cord.
Notes:
• If during update after word “READING” shows on display then “UPGRADE”, your unit
already has the new version installed.
• If during update after word “READING” shows on display then “NO DISK”, then there
maybe a problem with update disc. Please make sure you have correct firmware file for
your model and try creating new disc.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest drivers, software and games.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
