If you are using Microsoft Windows Server 2008* cluster node with dual storage control modules, update to the latest MPIO driver before applying this update.

If you are using Microsoft Windows Server 2003* or Microsoft Windows Server 2008 with dual storage control modules, you may update the firmware before or after applying the latest MPIO driver.

You may need to install the onboard LSI SAS drivers if they have not been installed previously.  If they were updated during a firmware 2.6 install, there is no need to reinstall them.  Additionally, there is no need to install if they are already embedded in the OS.
   - SUSE* Linux Enterprise Server 10 Update 2 has this driver embedded in the OS.
   - Red Hat* Enterprise Linux 5.3 has this driver embedded in the OS.
