How many folders and files do you have on the computer? It is a difficult question, isn't it? However there are a lot of such questions that one can ask. What file is the biggest? How many files are there in the largest folder? What is the structure of “Music” folder (we mean the full structure but not just those files and folders which are visible at first sight)? There are a lot of questions but if there is an answer? There is, and it will be given by one of the best Moleskinsoft applications – program Directory Size.
Directory Size is an universal file manager used for the disk space usage analysis and the preparation of disk space report. In the disk space report you can receive the information on all we spoke above and much more one in addition. What exactly?
Firstly, the disk space report will inform you about the folder structure in a concrete directory or a disk. This information can be received in the top left window. By the way, the information is given in the most evident form – as “tree”.
Secondly, you’ll get acquainted with structural distribution of files and folders in each directory and also receive the necessary information on disk space usage for each element (file and folder). For example, size, share in higher level folder, the amount of the included folders and files (only for folders). This information is accessible in the right top window.
Thirdly, you can process data about disk space usage according to your interests. Processing includes filter (it is possible to filter on extension, size, file owner) and sorting.
