Sniffnet is a simple, insightful, multiplatform application that displays your network traffic in real-time, giving you an excellent overview. It also compiles a detailed report in .txt form if needed. You can save the report with detailed information for each connection, source/destination IP addresses, source/destination ports, carried protocols, amount of exchanged packets/bytes, and finally, the initial/final timestamp of information exchange.
Sniffnet logs adapter types and allows you to choose your target for monitoring. You can set traffic filters, view the recorded statistics, and most relevant connections (most recent, most packets, most bytes). A real-time chart also visualizes traffic intensity (bytes and packets per second, incoming and outgoing), providing an at-a-glance view of spikes, etc., allowing for quick response to any potential issues or bottlenecks. It is set to dark mode by default, but you can toggle it to light if you prefer.
There are dependencies associated with Sniffnet; the dev offers download links on the repository page.
